Written on the Spinifex Arts Projet certificate, Pter Twigg, speaking with Gerome writes that he has painted the country around Irlbillii where he was born in the north of Spinifex country near Mirramirratjara. The painting shows two sorts of tree associated with the area, Bakurdah and Wartalka that both have ritual significance for this place. Iribillii is a soak area and water can be found all around by digging down and waiting for the water to coe up and settle; Gerome describes it as ‘one place’ with cool water always available.
