Born and raised in the East Kimberley, Cassius Nulgit is a young member of the well known Carrington family of artists. Beerbee Mungnari was Cassius’s great grandfather, Churchill Cann his grandfather and Sade Carrington his grandmother, with his mother being Charlene Carrington to name a few now internationally recognised artists.Cassius’s flowing, fluid ochres, visual perceptions attuned narrative have become distinctively characteristic of his style, as can be seen in this night painting of a graceful East Kimberley boab tree under the starts.
